Nice! The pose, the book, and the thoughtful look on her face are so appropriate to her character. (She doesn't quite seem to be looking at the book though... I wonder what she's staring at?) And I love this variation on her dress! It's original, but still her "look."
I don't know why it was removed. I think the site glitched and reverted to older stuff or something. I suppose I ought to re-upload it, but that seems like so much trouble what with the new ticket system.
wow this is a beautiful picture!I love how you made the background look midevil and stuff...and I also like how Zelda looks.....I bet Link would too ^w^
I don't know why I love this as much as I do. Not to say it isn't as wonderful as I think it is; it's just that I am unexplicably drawn to this.
I love Zelda. I think there is a grace and wisdom that not many really see in her to potray. She is not often done justice, and because of unfortunate "fan" politics, there are splittings of the Zelink, Malink, etc.,etc. I've come across people who hate her, call her a bitch/snob and write/portray her as such. Funny they should feel so strongly about a fictional character. Then again, coming from me...
In your Legend of Zelda artwork, I see the beauty and the legend that I think Hyrule has. One of the reasons I love The Legend of Zelda so is because of its unique epic standing; it's a video game, so you can be immersed in it yourself, following and taking part in the stories, but it's not a movie or a book, so it's not too specific. And the people and lands and legends are made light and easy with the feel of a video game, yet can mean so much more. Almost as if an old fairy tale were made child-like and colorful and made into a video game.
I have long admired your work for many prominent reasons, and this is one of the very biggest.
Plus, after seeing this last night, it drove me to write a fic, starting then, finishing this morning. *blush* No one's ever done that to me before *offers thanks*

I man, I know exactly what you mean. I was a zelinker, and I remember the fueds. I'm still z/l in my heart, though I care somewhat less than I used to. But I still get pissed off when people bash Zelda, because she is possibly my favorite female character of all time. Like you said, how with video games things are less specific than in books--there is room for interpretation, and so I make her much more than the game shows. Very smart, brilliant, somewhat short-tempered and with high standards, not overly affectionate or touchy-feely, but at her core fundamentally devoted to the good of her people and passionate about that devotion. A bit Batman-ish really, perhaps because I've gotten so deeply into comics recently, but without the Batman level of psychosis and coldness. Rational, practical, maybe a little cold sometimes, but only so she can do what is best for Hyrule no matter what. *sighs adoringly*
I'm so glad you found something in this to inspire you, you make me want to do more Zelda fanart. I will go check out your fanfic now
Wow... I like this one mweh much. She seems so natural... Like she could pop out of the picture at any second. You have such a natural way you draw your characters... so... I don't know how to say it... believable? With folds especially... they look so... real.
wow, the folds on her dres are really impressive o.0; I really like this pick, it a sort... *tries to think of the right words* very medieval feel about it- Im not talking about the arch in the background, I mean the style in which its drawn, and her pose. Looks fab! ^.^
